The nebulizer is one of the central elements of the Equilator for horses. It is used to finely atomize the inhalation liquid and also acts as a tank for the inhalant. Inside are the electronics for generating the electrical signal which drive the "Mesh" piezo membrane. This converts the liquid into a fine mist.

This product is a spare part which is only used to repair an already purchased "Equilator Set". The product is not functional without the basic device.

In order to keep the nebulizer as small, mobile and energy-efficient as possible, we use a piezo-driven mesh nebulizer with a 5 µm hole size. Therefore, as with all competitor products based on this technology, the nebulizer is a consumable item. The nebulizer is designed for approx. 90 applications of 10 ml NaCl 0.9 % solution. The use of other inhalants can significantly shorten the service life of the nebulizer. A replacement nebulizer plate is available from us at a price of 4.95 €.

The color of the nebulizer may differ from the product image. Depending on the batch, it varies from opaque to light green and dark green to blue. These differences are due to the production process, which has not yet been finalized.

Nebulizer - outside
The nebulizer is easily accessible from the outside and can be conveniently removed - even while the mask is on the horse. This makes it easy to refill the inhalation solution, clean it quickly or replace it without having to remove the entire mask. This function is particularly practical in everyday use and saves time, especially with experienced animals.

Nebulizer - inside
It is not possible to remove the nebulizer from the inside of the mask as long as it is attached to the horse. To do this, the mask must first be removed.
Advantage: The nebulizer remains securely in place thanks to its internal fixation, especially with restless horses, strong coughing fits or jerky movements. This virtually eliminates the risk of it accidentally falling out, especially with more difficult patients.

Shelf life

The nebulizer is designed for approximately 90 applications of 10 ml NaCl 0.9 % solution and up to 3 months after the first use.

Care

• The mesh plate may be carefully cleaned with a suitable hygienic cleaner and a soft disposable cloth. After the inhalation unit, the tube should be completely filled with distilled water. Then nebulize about two thirds of the water and wipe the mesh platelet with the cloth sprayed with hygiene cleaner. The remaining contents must be poured out completely to remove any residue of the inhalation solution.

  The nebulizer must be completely cleaned and dried after each use. Only then may it be reattached to the device or stored.

  To prevent dirt or salty moisture from entering the connection area, the USB cable should not be disconnected from the nebulizer if possible. Instead, it is recommended to disconnect the cable from the power bank if the device is to be disconnected from the power supply.
